Personal Information:

I am an avid reader and a huge Disney fan.  I love to travel and have been lucky to be able to visit 29 states and four different countries including a trip to where I was born in Germany.  I enjoy watching soccer, drum corps, Deadliest Catch and all of the NCIS’s.  I love learning new things and try to learn something new each day.  I'm a horrible cook, but like to bake sweets.  I love my job and try to treat every day as a new adventure to explore the bountiful world of music.

Current Position:

  • I started teaching at Little Cypress Junior High in 1998.
  • I taught K-5 General Music for one year in Van, Texas before moving to Orange.
  • Currently, I teach grades 6-8 Vocal Music classes.  I have also taught private saxophone and oboe lessons.

Previous Position:

  • I began teaching in Texas in 1997 after moving from Wyoming.

Family Information:

My husband and I were married in 1996 in my hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  We have 1 living child who is attending Lamar University to become a speech pathologist.  We are dog lovers and recently adopted our newest family member, Harley who turned one year old on September first.
